"Raw" is a project that celebrates the work of renowned architect Frank Gehry. The project is an exhibition design that showcases Gehry's signature style of portraying movement in his structures through sketches and raw designs. I was inspired by his approach and wanted to challenge myself to create a font that extracted lines from Gehry's raw work.
This project allowed me to strengthen my attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and unique design perspective. Since I was working under a strict time constraint, I focused on creating the characters I knew I would need and drafted multiple versions of each until I found the perfect mix and match for Gehry's movement.
To take this project one step further, I decided to create an accompanying product using the extracted patterns of Gehry's work. The final design resulted in a set of asymmetrical ottomans that showcased Gehry's movement through their unique shape and pattern.
Overall, "Raw" is a testament to my passion for design and my desire to challenge myself creatively. I am excited to continue developing my skills and creating unique and engaging projects that push boundaries and showcase my talent.
